A Place of His Own

Kimo enjoyed everyones attention and at this point in time wasn't aware of Jade's growing affection for him. He missed the first sign and made sure to greet everyone. He was still very tired but he figured attending a party wouldn't be too taxing. He noticed Jade give him a smile and it made him feel pretty good. He was happy to be back at the mansion.

Soon enough a few of the younger students were asking him to show thme some tricks. Kimo had nearly gotten his powers under his complete control but was still learning. He knew enough however to do little party tricks. Using the water in the pool he forced the water to lift up as a tentacle coiling about.

Andrew came back out dragging a few coolers of food and drinks that were ready to be grilled or eaten. He looked to kylie when she asked if he wanted her to bring something up for him to eat. At first he immediately thought that it would be great but then the adults would get involved again. But then again he didnt care, "Sure that would be great thanks Kylie." He said appreciating her offer.

He saw the display Kimo was putting on, "So i should probably leave if you're getting Logan huh." Andrew said putting on a smile

Jade stood back and smiled as she watched Kimo entertain the younger students with his powers. She admired the control he had over his abilities. Despite having lived with her uncle since she was 3, when her mutations first emerged, she still didn't have complete control. She was an extremely powerful psychic with telekinetic abilities. Often if she had a nightmare it would result in things breaking in the mansion or the floors and walls shaking.

Kylie smiled a little when Andrew agreed to her plan. "Alright, I'll grab us both something to eat and meet you up there in a little bit."

She didn't think it would be such a big deal since it wasn't past curfew and they would leave the door open. After he retreated back into the mansion she approached Logan, who was sharing a moment with Sabella away from the kids. She cleared her throat to get their attention. Sabella looked over at Kylie, who blushed ever so slightly.

"Sorry to interrupt, but Logan I was wondering if you wouldn't mind going ahead and starting up some of the food since Kimo got here earlier than expected."

The kids were entertained by the water form but it eventually lost form and it crashed back into the pool splashing a few. More laughter and some applause for Kimo. Kimo had lost concentration as his fatigue was getting to him. He rubbed his eyes regretting the earlier flight now. Someone handed him a drink and the party had officially begun with the water splash. Kimo made his way over to Jade rubbing an eye, "Hey, how was your summer?" He asked. He knew they called one another every so often but it was still nice to ask.

Andrew headed up to his room glad to back in doors and just headed up to his room. Logan was happily distracted by Sabella until he heard someone clear their throat. HE turned paying attention to Kylie knowing one could make an argument for hypocrisy..

"He's early huh? yeah i'll get the grill going here in a second." Logan said hoping Kylie would step away so he and Sabella could compose themselves.

Jade was pouring out a few drinks for some of the other students and handed Kimo one after he walked over. "Oh, it was rather uneventful besides some stuff with Kylie and Andrew. Did I tell you that Kylie accidentally fell asleep in Andrew's room after curfew. They were caught lying next to each other in his bed," she said keeping her voice down. "They hadn't done anything, but Logan got rather upset."

Sabella and Logan had just been kissing, but the kissing had gotten quiet heavy and Sabella had just been able to ask Logan if he wanted to slip away from the party set up for a little while. However, before she could do so Kylie approached them and interrupted their moment. Kylie gave a nod and knew enough to walk away. Sabella waited until she was gone before giving Logan another kiss. "Why did he have to come back early?"

Kimo accepted the drink and took a sip leaning close as Jade shared in some gossip. "no you didnt mention that bit. Wow surprised Logan didnt do anything to him." He said looking about. He coudln't see Andrew and figured he must have stepped back inside. "So i guess things are serious between those two, that's good im happy for her." he said knowing that she had a rough live. A little sunshine in her life would do her some good. "oh i guess ill have to hand out gifts later on." Kimo said with a grin. He had thought of teasing Jade about the gift some mroe but decided against it, he figured she had been wondering enough as is.

"thanks for throwing me a party you guys really didnt have to." Kimo said enjoying the noise. made him feel more at home. More music began to play and people started to dance a little. seeing that Jade was pouring drinks he felt she needed to relax a little. "hey why dont ya stop workin for a bit, take a break and dance with me."

Logan turned to Sabella as Kylie stepped away and returned her kiss. It would take him to some time to cook up all the food, more than enough time for the two of them cool down. "Well we'll have to catch up later on then make up the interruption. How long can these kids have a party for anyway." he said underestimating how much energy everyone had.

Jade poured a drink for herself and took a sip as some music began to play. Some of the students went over to the "dancing area" and began to dance and have a good time. Jade smiled at Kimo when he told her they didn't have to throw him a party. "Of course we did. I...we...all missed you. And besides we love any excuse to throw a party."

She began to pour a few more drinks when Kimo suddenly told her to take a break and dance with him. She had to force herself not to blush, but she smiled at him and nodded a little. "Sure, let's go," she said as she followed him over to where the others were dancing.

Sabella gave a little sigh, but let Logan pull away. "I'm going to hold you to that making up for the interruption bit," she told him with a little grin, knowing that would not be a problem for him. "Now, go grill the food before people cause a scene about not having anything to eat. Oh! And don't forget to wear the 'Kiss the Cook' apron I got you," she teased with a grin.

Kimo smiled glad that Jade would have a dance with him. It was a party and he didnt want one of his best friends working away. He led her out to the dance floor to a fun little song. In his mind it was an innocent gesture as he enjoyed spending time with Jade.

Logan smiled at Sabella when she told he'd have to make up for the interruption. He thought of the apron that Sabella gifted him, "you serious?" He asked as he started to head to the grill. Donning an apron Logan spent the next hour cooking up food all the kids.

The party lasted for a great chunk of the day. Kimo and Jade had a few dances before some of the other girls asked for a dance. He obliged spending a good deal of his time with everyone but made sure to spend some time with Jade during the day. Drinks were had food was eaten, merriment for all. But in the afternoon Kimo's jet lag was hitting him pretty hard so he excused himself to finally take his things up to his room.

Only to find that he was sharing a room with Andrew! Dropping his bags on the foot of his bed Kimo collapesed onto his bed glad to take a moment to lie down. Andrew watched Kimo rather liking him drained, he lowered his book turning from his desk. "So...long flight?" Andrew asked with an amused smirk. Kimo had inadvertenly forgotten about the gifts but it wasn't like he was leaving.
